J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon from California is intensely-colored with youthful and bright hues. An abundance of dark cherry, black currant and berry fruit greets the nose, enhanced by spicy cedar, vanilla and toasty notes. On the palate, the fruit follows through with full weight and a lingering intensity and balance from the tannins. Enjoy it with your favorite roasted or barbecued meats, or tomato-based pasta dishes.
Riverstone Chardonnay has a youthful, brassy yellow color with moderate depth. The aromas are of nectarine, peach pie and apple--combined with the perfumed vanilla and toasted oak bouquet from barrel and malolactic fermentation and sur lie aging--creating an elegant Chardonnay from Monterey’s Arroyo Seco AVA. The flavors are very clean, with peach, nectarine and citrus with subtle butter and vanilla toastiness, producing layers of complexity with an excellent balance of fresh fruit acidity and palate weight. This wine is ideal for pairing with oven-roasted chicken, Dungeness crab or cream-sauced pasta dishes.
The Bay Mist White Riesling is a pale brassy yellow color with enticing fruit aromas of pear, lychee, ruby grapefruit, honeydew melon and apricot. The 1.98% residual sugar is balanced by the crisp grape acidity and natural spritz from a long cool fermentation, making the 2007 White Riesling an enticingly fruity, refreshing wine capable of complementing the vibrant flavors of Thai curried chicken, Indian Mughlai Biryani chicken, or as an aperitif.
Vibrant purple-red in color with youthful hues, J. Lohr Estates Wildflower Valdiguié has intense varietal aromas of boysenberry, bing cherry, cranberry and banana. The fruit complexion on the palate is slightly darker, favoring blackberry and black cherry fruits. The luscious fruit and lingering acidity make this wine ideal as an aperitif. Serve chilled or try it with grilled salmon.
